The move to Florida has been a big change for this person. Using an apt username, u/firsthomeFL has a request for the good folks of Reddit: What's the best way to get on an HOA's nerves?
Well, seeing as HOAs have tons of tiny rules, there are lots of ways to annoy them. This person is realizing that their personality does not align with the average Floridian's lifestyle. The HOA already has a bunch of rules about not letting your dogs bark for too long, and insisting that people hide their boats or RVs in their backyards. At the same time, though, the HOA decided to let one of the neighbors' dogs bark incessantly. Why? Oh, apparently there's nothing they can do about that. Great work, HOA!
This Floridian has also realized that they'll need HOA approval to make any changes to their new abode. Although they love bright colors, they're a bit dismayed by the plethora of boring brown and gray houses. Since the HOA has been ignoring their complaints, this person is ready to get petty.
Up next, this finance worker was advised to "let the newbie fail," after revealing that a new worker refuses to learn anything.
