As a mom of boys, it feels like you're stuck constantly trying to find missing socks, rogue Nerf bullets, and mysterious gooey substances that they would rather not know what they are. Conversations with your boys are a delightful mix of "Mom, can you fix this?" as they hand you some toy that you should have thrown away ages ago, and the sound of high-pitched battle squeals coming from the other room announcing a make-believe battle they are about to conquer. But even in the chaos, there are moments of pure, sticky-fingered joy. Like when you find a washable marker masterpiece drawn on the wall (because at least it's washable, right?). Or when they erupt in giggles at your attempt at a boy-coded joke (because apparently, mom humor peaks at age 6). So yeah, being a boy mom is definitely an adventure, with messes and noise around every corner. But at least you'll never be bored. And who needs a gym membership when you're constantly chasing a runaway toddler?
