Seriously, just because it's someone's first job and they are young give no excuse to treat them poorly. However, some older entitled Karens and Kyles will take advantage of any naivety that they come across. Take example this 19-year-old Redditor u/icare-melapple, she finally had enough and quit on the spot!
She got hired as a receptionist at a spa. She was only contracted to do receptionist duties like greeting the customers, etc. However, many of her co-workers and managers decided to see what else they could squeeze out of her. Eventually, she was doing so many other co-workers' duties and work chores that they started jokingly calling her “Cinderella” behind her back. She had been miserable for months, but it was what she stumbled upon one day that had her decide enough was enough. The managers and a few co-workers got together to start preemptively writing her up for unfair things that weren't even in her job description. Ridiculous, good thing she quit on the spot.
