Internet sides with woman who chooses going to a concert over her best friend's wedding, bride is furious: '[She] knew I booked tickets on that date'

As a bride, when you plan a wedding, you want to be surrounded by all of your closest friends and family. You expect when you invite someone to your big day that they will want to attend and be a part of it. But what you can't do is expect everyone to drop their plans and cater to your schedule. Yes, it will be disappointing to learn a loved one can't make it to your celebration, but as one Redditor put it best, "Weddings aren't a golden ticket for servitude and glorification from everyone around you." That's life. But what about if your best friend can't make it? That one might sting a bit worse. But in this case, it's not the best friend's fault. It's the bride's. Her best friend had booked tickets for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour a year in advance. Aside from the expensive ticket costs, she also booked flights and hotel rooms for her international vacation with her fiancé. This plan was set in stone way prior to her best friend getting married. Although the bride knew about her concert plans, she just expected her friend to cancel them in order to cater to her wedding date.
