Hinge has made a name for itself by claiming that it is the dating app that is "designed to be deleted". This has an element of truth to it, but not all its users are taking it off their phones because they've found love. In fact, many of them are doing this because they just can't stand most of the people they see there. Who knew that so many people love food and sleep, or that you can "just ask" if you want to get to know them better?
However, what may be worse than the many identikit answers on dating profiles is when singletons actually do try to show a little more personality. It seems like the dating app phenomenon has ironically led some to forget how to act in a way that is going to make somebody want to go on a date with them. There may be positive aspects to many of those behind the examples below, but they seem to be hiding them pretty well.
