This might have been a situation where the higher road was worth taking. As tempting as it is to twist the knife and be your fullest, pettiest self, there is a limit to how far one should go. It's easy to roll your eyes at the concept, but happiness is the best form of revenge at the end of the day.
This mother of a now toddler realized that her ex-husband's 30th birthday was approaching. They hadn't seen each other in two years since their divorce was officially finalized. Their marriage fell apart in their early twenties after he was pressuring her to have kids early, she rejected those pressures, and then he went ahead and cheated on her. Yikes!
Of course, we sympathize with what this woman has been through. That being said, she seemed to have bounced back quickly. She found another partner and ended up having a child at the time she felt was right. Now that her ex is about to turn 30 and still does not have a kid, she wants to wish him a Happy Birthday using her own kid. Ooof! Even the petty folks on Reddit's r/pettyrevenge subreddit thought this was too far. Hopefully, she got the message and stopped herself before it was too late.
