Mealtimes become radically different when you're a parent. Right now, I have the freedom to eat when I choose to, whatever I want, in front of the TV if I feel like it, or at a nice restaurant when I'm feeling special. I don't have to worry about what I order, how late it is, or if there's nothing in the fridge and I simply have to scrounge.
But if I had kids, I'm sure all of that would be different. I'd have to keep a schedule, cook for a crowd, and cater to a child's palette. I have very little patience for picky eaters, so that might be an adjustment. Also, forget about eating out in the same way. Most kids don't know how to act in nice places. But I'm sure all the upheaval would be worth it when you finally get your kid to try mushrooms and they actually like them. I'm sure, right?
