One of the most important parts about having a family is that you are all there for one another during the hard times. Many people don't know where they would be without that support system to fall back on, but it can have its limits. There is a big difference between receiving much-needed help and blatantly freeloading, and this can be an issue that breaks families apart.
This seemed to be the case in a recent AITA, in which one man vented about how his parents and sister had placed unreasonable expectations on being able to live with him. His pregnant sister, who also has another child, had been abandoned by the baby's father and was looking to move into the suite of OP's house that their parents live in.
However, the family began to demand that all areas of the house be babyproofed, including the rooms that were private to OP. When that was where he drew the line, things got messy — but Reddit was on his side. This is not an easy situation to deal with.
