Oh, Pi Day; I had no idea I'd still celebrate you five years after taking my last mathematics course. I don't mean to diminish the impact of this year's Pi Day, but it seems like it peaked as an "internet holiday" over ten years ago. Maybe it's because I was in middle school and on Tumblr during its prime, but I remember Pi Day making considerable waves in 2013. The past couple of years, not so much, but we trudge forward regardless.
Pi Day became an official US holiday in 2009, a testament to the MM/DD/YYYY dating system we have in this great country. Besides being the first three digits of this iconic number, 3/14 is Albert Einstein's birthday and the day Stephen Hawking died! If you can count higher than 3.1415 (that's all the numbers I've got), these Pi Day memes will be a great way to spend the holiday.
