'I automated everything my boss did': Data analyst gets bonus after writing script to make their boss obsolete

When a company CEO offered bonuses for "cost-saving initiatives," he never expected employees would take it so seriously. 

As technology grows more and more advanced, robots will continue to take jobs from people. It seems like this happens slowly, and then one day everything is different. Like when you check out at a grocery store, there's a pretty big chance you'll scan your own items at a self-checkout. If you need to make an appointment or talk to a customer service rep, there's a good chance you'll be chatting to bots, not people. These days, average people can use photoshopping tech with ease—no need to hire a person to do that for you anymore.

Technology is becoming so advanced that lots of jobs will be obsolete soon, for better or worse. There's a lot of room for innovation and growth—something that data analyst put to the test at their own workplace. They realized that their boss was a middle manager with nothing to do. She was only working there because she was having an affair with her boss! She did a little bit of report writing, and besides that, she was happy to take days off, leave early, and arrive late.
