Welcome to 2024, where therapy is as casual as drinking water. Back in the day, if you even mentioned you were going to a therapist, everyone assumed you needed a lobotomy. Now, we have evolved as a society to not only accept therapy but embrace it with open arms. Sure, there are still the lingering Boomer and maybe even Gen X parents out there who refuse to see a therapist. Because of that, their traumas have been passed down to their kids to deal with like a piece of coal on Christmas. So some of us have to go to therapy for the entire family. It's exhausting, but the pattern has to end somewhere. So if you're the family member in therapy, we applaud you! If only you could charge the people who are the reason for this therapy, but we haven't evolved to that point… yet! Just kidding, or am I?? See the memes below to feel less alone in your journey!
