I don't know about you all, but I am excited about the new Disney+ series X-Men '97. As someone who spent more time than I'd like to admit watching Saturday Morning Cartoons, I'm relieved that studios have enough faith in the format to bring them back for the audience who grew up watching them. This new series picks up where X-Men: The Animated Series left off, following the gang as they deal with the fallout from the loss of Professor X.
I'm excited about this series for its own sake, but I'm even more excited that they used traditional 2-D animation. These days, it seems like fewer and fewer animated shows and movies are willing to go with a classic animation style and want so desperately to make everything 3-D and new and modern. If you are eager to bask in the nostalgia of your childhood, these X-Men memes will expedite that process.
