It's a well-documented fact at this point that dating apps are a miserable place to be. For every couple that found their happily ever after by swiping right or sending a like, there are a thousand singletons who are wondering what the heck they must have done in a past life to deserve the karma of the messages they get when they try to put themselves out there.
As if some of these interactions aren't bad enough, the problems (and red flags) will often start with somebody's profile. Seasoned swipers begin to know the clichés off by heart, but they can also be blindsided by them. A prime example of this are the infamous prompts on Hinge, which a significant minority seem incapable of answering correctly. They might be annoying to come across in the wild, but at least some of them are funny enough to chuckle at in a ridiculous thread such as the one below.
