Exercise can take many forms: walking, swimming, practicing yoga, dancing, rock climbing… but for many, it means lifting heavy objects in a gym while looking at yourself in the mirror. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Gym culture is strong, and gyms are places where folks can find their inner power in a community that supports them. But it only works if you enjoy it. If you're dragging yourself to the gym every day and hating it, then it might be time for you to consider a different option. Working out isn't always a breeze, or it wouldn't be working out.
But there has to be something in it for you other than the long-term goals. If you want to do it with any regularity, you need to have a little fun with it. And if finding the fun means letting yourself look at these gym memes while you're doing your treadmill warm-up, then all the better.
