If you're not good with your money, it doesn't matter how much you make.
For those who make a regular or lowish salary, it seems impossible that someone making $100k+ could ever lose all that. But it happens all the time—just think of how many multi-millionaire celebs wind up broke and selling off their estates to make a quick buck. A lot of people find that money burns a hole in their pocket. They get their paycheck and immediately start thinking of all the cool products they could buy. Some go so far as to avoid paying rent! Instead, they spend that cash on fancy trips, eating at restaurants, or their various vices.
This dude's roommate has a job that tons of people would do anything to get: he's a live-streamer on Kick and Twitch. He gets to chill at his apartment and play video games while his 10k viewers cheer him on. But this guy keeps avoiding paying his roommate his share of rent!
In the comments, people explained that having 10k viewers would net this dude an astounding amount of money. These people called the story fake, but I'm not sure if I agree just based off that evidence alne. As mentioned before, some people are just completely terrible with their money.
