As humans, we like to collect things. Why? I have no idea, but we do. From pretty little rocks to Pokémon cards, collecting something that brings you even the tiniest bit of joy is so innately human, it's beautiful. So, of course, collecting records is very common. Vinyle records are the best of both visual art and auditory. You get the album artwork that is perfectly sized to hang up on your wall if you choose to do so. And you have the actual music to listen to that's on the record. Not to mention the dope setup you have to have to even listen to your collection. This isn't like collecting bottle caps and just keeping them in a box. You have to have a record player, speakers, and more.
