Most cats are notoriously cautious or even downright afraid of vacuum cleaners. They are pretty brave when it comes to everything else, but that big thing that makes a lot of noise… Yeah, you can bet they will panic the second you turn it on. However, my cat Spock, is weirdly curious about them. I was cleaning the apartment yesterday, vacuuming the living room, ignoring the dramatic yowls coming from Leo, my other cat. Spock actually dared approach me, his tail puffed up like a bottle brush. I was taken aback at his courage. He then pounced on the vacuum's hose while I stood there aghast. He thought it was some kind of toy! Life can be stranger than fiction, eh?
