The couple lives together but with roommates, and they've finally decided to move out and get their own place. They found the perfect place, and were all ready to sign the lease. But then her boyfriend went ahead and bought a flashy, expensive car. Now, the woman isn't necessarily against people owning multiple cars (though she doesn't understand the need), but it seems like her boyfriend is taking advantage of her. 

Although people are free to spend their money however they please, it comes with exceptions. Like how the OP has had to cover her boyfriend's rent multiple times. She even covered half of the security deposit like he asked, just one week before he bought his expensive car. According to the comment section, the OP is just lucky she backed out before getting stuck paying his share of the rent at their new place.
