Ready for a good cry sesh? We're not talking the ennui kind of heartbreak watching the news brings. We're not even talking about the kind of heartbreak you feel when something devastating happens in your personal life. We're talking about the kind of cry you get when you see something so bittersweet and heartwarming at the same time, you can't help but feel the tears rush in. Something so simultaneously wholesome and tragic, that you remember how painfully poetic life truly is. This time, it is about a staircase. One step in a staircase, to be exact.
Recently, a dog mom had to say goodbye to her furbaby as he made his way over the rainbow bridge. Anyone who has had to say goodbye to a beloved pet knows how hard this is. You do anything and everything to hold on to those little reminders of your sweet bub. This dog mom's dog, Max, was with her since 2010 and was very much loved. He had a step on the staircase that he always laid on. This was even where his mom and he made their last goodbye.
These stairs needed refinishing very badly, but the mom didn't have the heart to change anything about her boy's favorite step. So she memorialized it in a beautiful and heartwarming way that's got the whole internet crying. Scroll below and let those tears flow.
