Having a dog around adds just a little more life to the day. They provide constant entertainment. To me, a dog playing with a ball is far more interesting than television. There are a few dogs that hang out at my work, and it makes it so much better to be in the office. I get bored of looking at people all day. I want to look at something fluffy and innocent.
Making eye contact with a dog is so special. But good luck getting a dog to make eye contact with himself in the mirror. Somehow, they just won't do it. They refuse to see themselves. I feel like they have no idea it's them in there, and I understand because mirrors are kind of a heady concept. But you know what isn't heady? These memes. They're simple, funny, and bark-tastic.
