From Star Trek's debut in the '60s to the latest iterations, the franchise has been a constant source of inspiration for me. I've always held a sense of wonder for the cosmos and the potential of a brighter future, so obviously, Star Trek is kind of my jam. Captain Kirk is one heck of a charismatic character and I had a crush on him for quite a while until I discovered Picard. Only then did my childish crush fade and turn more into a teenage obsession.

The iconic USS Enterprise and the USS Voyager became vessels of my imagination, transporting me to distant galaxies and unexplored worlds, places I apparently could not access in the real world. It was unfair, I thought, to lack the ability to jump into a fictional realm whenever I wanted to. I still hold that thought today. Unfair, I tell you… What I would do if I could explore the uncharted oceans of space and use futuristic technology that's way cooler than what we have now.
