Working for a terrible boss—well, it really "sucks"… especially when they think they can dock your pay because of their own faulty vacuum. Dealing with authority figures as a teen is tough; on the one hand, they often regard you as being far more immature, dumber, and irresponsible than you actually are, and adults tend to forget how claustrophobic that constant correction and lack of agency can feel. On the other hand, there are times when that authority figure definitely had a point, and it won't be until 10 or 15 years later that you begin to realize and acknowledge that. Still, at a certain point, if the person with direct authority over you is treating you with constant mistrust and acting like you're irresponsible (even when you're not,) you might as well just act irresponsibly…

This young worker showed his micromanaging boss just how "irresponsible" he was after his boss blamed him for a faulty vacuum and left him to run the shop alone on the busiest day of the year. These were the final straw(s) for a terrible working relationship, so he locked the door to the shop, left, and never came back.
