These retail workers have a bone to pick with some of their worst customers.
Imagine you're a customer at a retail store, about to peruse the clothing section or toy aisle or garden section. But you've got your to-go coffee cup with you, and halfway through your trip, you've drunk all of it. What to do now? If you're like a surprising amount of shoppers, you'll just take the cup and leave it on a random shelf. It might be half-full or totally empty, but either way, these shoppers think their indoor littering is just fine. Employees do not care for this practice, understandably. It's more cleaning that they have to do, and it makes the store look (literally) trashy.
Another common gripe that retail workers have is people who get a frozen product and then abandon it. Some customers will pick up a family pack of chicken tenders, and at some point in their shopping trip, they'll decide they don't want that anymore. Will they head back to the frozen section to return it to where it belongs? Eh, that seems unlikely. Instead, they'll toss that bag of chicken amongst a pile of shirts or sling it onto the board games shelf. Why? It's pure chaos.
