Recently I started rewatching The Big Bang Theory and it made me remember that when it first started airing, it was the best presentation of what it is like to be a proper geek.
Leonard and Sheldon going to the comic book store, the boys getting excited about Comic-Con, making cosplays, and standing for hours in line for a premiere of a Marvel movie. All these moments made me feel like the geeks actually have representation, and it felt great. I do not think I have seen another TV show back then, and even ever since then, that made me really connect to the characters like The Big Bang Theory did. That is a big reason why I love going back and rewatching the show every once in a while.
