You did it. You made it through the first week of the new year and you're still going to the gym. Unless, of course, you're only looking at this meme list aspirationally. Either way, it's only uphill from here. Your gym buddies are motivating you, your protein powder is fueling you, and you know you can achieve anything you set your mind to. All those mental and physical burdens? They're lightweight, brother.
Going to the gym regularly cultivates a sense of self-confidence that can only be matched with going to Benihana by yourself. Working towards the goals you set for yourself is important for your mental health. But it can be hard to stick to a routine. I recently learned about habit stacking, which, from what I gather, means grouping tasks together so starting one will trigger a chain of events, so you'll actually get it done. So starting tomorrow, I'm leaving my gym shoes by the door. I'll report back on how it goes…
