Happy Solstice, everyone! Today marks the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. It can only get lighter for longer from here on out. Before we know it, spring will be here, but we have various celebrations to attend to first.
We all know that the one on its way in the next few days is the most popular, but those with more pagan inclinations are more likely to celebrate today. As countless contrarians have brought up at the Christmas dinner table, Yule was here before Christians decided to hijack the season for their own festive purposes.
This means that it's only fair to give a little meme-related love to this lesser-known holiday. Even if you don't celebrate, it can be cool to appreciate other observances now and then. Have a great Yule, people, whether or not you're into all that witchy stuff that comes along with it.
