Finals week can be one of the most trying times in a young one's life. I remember reaching new states of unhinged with my friends in the library, pajamas on, barefoot, rolling on caffeine. The stress of exams can be immense, and the work seems insurmountable. But everyone has their tricks to keep them going. My finals tradition was to buy a pack of sour gummy worms that I would reward myself with every time I finished a task. It worked really well to keep me on track. I know some folks would block every website that wasn't work-related on their computers. Hey, whatever it takes to make it through.
So as we barrel toward the holidays, and perhaps a well-deserved winter break, let's take a minute to honor those in the the throes of finals. Just keep swimming babes.
