Have you ever woken up to your morning alarm and thought, 'I don't feel like working today'? Most of the working class has felt this to some degree. The urge to quit your job without notice is so strong for some that they'll even call in sick or fake a doctor's appointment just to avoid another moment in the workplace. I get it, some days can be rough. But what about Christmas? Is that a day that anybody can bail on after waking up on the wrong side of the bed? Not exactly.

Holidays are an extra complicated dilemma for scheduling managers. If your business is even open on that day, who's going to agree to work? Surely there's at least one employee who loathes family dinners and would rather make time and a half. However, as we all know, managers are the employee that's paid a little extra every paycheck so that they're always ready to fall on their sword when the shifts fall through…
Well, in our next story, the Christmas shift was completely covered, but when the employee scheduled had a last minute conflict, the manager who's responsibility was to cover the shift themselves, tries to pawn it off on someone else because they just ‘didn’t feel like it'.
