"You're not yourself when you're hungry." That's the saying that has gone viral over and over again, and although we, humans, relate to it deeply, we did not think that the same can be applied to our cats. But it can. The proof is right in front of our eyes. There are some foods that if our cats don't get when they want, our cats will change right in front of our eyes. And we thought that we have seen all of it - from cats being obsessed with bread to cats stopping at nothing to get sweets all the way to cats choosing cucumbers over anything else.
It's the ferocity of the cat in this thread that took us - and its owner - by surprise, not the act of attempted thievery. We expect our cats to steal food right off our plates, but we don't expect them to look quite so… unhinged (and hilarious) when they try.
