Isn't it funny when managers try to act like the know what they're doing but it's actually painfully obvious that they have NO idea and they are just talking as a power move? It's so comical and, honestly, sad. If you're a clueless manager, let me let you in a on a little secret: nobody cares that you're in charge, they care about getting their job done efficiently and acting their wages. So, as a quick PSA to managers, stop making it about you being high up on the executive ladder, we all know nothing would run without the workers, so stfu. Anyways… Sorry, went a little off my rocker there. I got triggered by this Reddit story of a manager trying to pull some cheap manager stuff and getting it right where he deserved.
Apparently it was a blue collar crew working on a garage door. The manager thought they were wasting his time and money (they were not, he just didn't understand the process), so he made this asinine rules that he thought would save him money. Joke was very much on him though, because the career garage door repairman saw it for what it was and now him and his crew got 2-3 hours for lunch instead of the 45 minutes, and each person 7+ extra hours of paid overtime.
