Ah, Christmas time - the cold brisk air, some light dustings of snow, and the smell of a Christmas tree in your home! Well, that is, for some of us anyway. Everyone with a cat knows the struggle of putting up a Christmas tree because the cats just can't resist playing with this giant and shiny new toy in the living room! So, we're asking ourselves, how can we have both a beautiful, glimmering Christmas tree and cats at the same time? We scoured the internet to find answers to this very question, and the answers might surprise you!
Or they won't - because the most common answer we found was "don't put it up in the first place". Some people went as far as placing plexiglass around the tree, while others suggested getting the cat their own tree and letting them play on that one. If you find anything more helpful than this article, please let us know, as the great Christmas tree battle has already begun in our house!

Well, that's one way to make sure the tree never gets knocked over - never put it up in the first place. But surely there is a way to have both. Why can't we enjoy the love and company of our cats while also enjoying this very significant and amazing-smelling part of Christmas?
Can you imagine? Can you imagine the chaos that this would create? We might do it and set up a camera just to record all the crazy cat shenanigans that happen with the upside-down tree. We imagine cats launching themselves at the tree and swinging in the air like Miley Cyrus in 'Wrecking Ball'. It's purrfect.
