'If you think I'm the only one mad and upset with you two, think again': Entitled aunt returns Christmas card and pens a scathing note telling her nephew and his wife that they should "be ashamed"

Some people get really hung up on thank-you cards. Plenty of folks place a high value on gift-giving, and for some reason, they are also very insistent on receiving a thank-you note. 

Thanking the gift-giver as you open their present should be enough, right? When you can look the person in the eyes and genuinely appreciate their thoughtfulness and chat about the gift, that seems like it should be sufficient. But some people believe that if you don't send a physical thank-you card as soon as possible, you're being incredibly impolite. 

When I give a gift, I don't really care what happens after the fact, because the present was for the other person. If I start demanding a thank-you card, that would make me feel selfish, as if I'm putting attention on myself instead of the birthday boy or girl, or the wedding couple. It's as if some people give a gift, and then want a special reward for doing so. Nope! No need to weaponize manners… Just give your gift with no expectations, and you'll probably feel a lot better about the outcome, whether you get a thank you card or not. 

This aunt was so upset over not receiving a thank-you card from three years ago (!!) that she wrote a scathing letter to her nephew and his wife. Her handwriting is quite hard to read, so check out the transcriptions of the letter. Then, this teacher brought in a Halloween themed dish that was perfectly edible, but due to the way it looked, no one would eat it!
