I come from a gaming family. Not in the sense of computers (although I have a couple of relatives who are big on video games), but because they love anything that involves a board, some cards, and some quick thinking. As anyone who has played Monopoly during a family reunion will know, there's nothing like some low-stakes, recreational competitiveness to tear relationships apart.
It's all part of the fun, though. So is trying and failing to remember all the various rules of every single game. Even those that don't involve a huge amount of skill are still a challenge, and that is what is the main part of their appeal.
Naturally, we believe this is worth celebrating in the form of memes. Scrolling doesn't require quite as much strategizing as playing, but it's enjoyable nonetheless. I wouldn't depend on anything below to settle any arguments on games night, however. That's on you.
