Cats only car about themselves - that's the claim that cat haters make all the time. Cats only tolerate you because you bring them food. Cats only accept you because you serve them. But these people are wrong, and we, cat owners, know that better than anyone. Cats get attached so hard. Not every cat will fall in love with you right away - it might take a while to gain a cat's trust. But when cats love, they love hard, and that's true not only for humans.
Cats and dogs don't get along - another claim that we are about to disprove. In fact, cats and dogs can be the bestest of friends. It's just that their behaviors are so different, we as humans might not realize it. Cats' ways of showing affection can be small. Cats will only show you - or a dog - affection in an obvious way when they feel like it's necessary. And like you'll see in this thread, even the dog itself can be surprised by the level of affection its cat friend shows it.
So many people still insist, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that cats don't get attacked to other creatures. But here is yet another piece of evidence that they do. It's hard to get a cat's trust and love sometimes, that's true, but once you do… there is no going back. There is nothing as strong as a cat's bond.
The confusion is honestly adorable. We can only imagine that this cat is not quite so open with its affections on a regular basis, so it only makes sense for the doggo to be confused. But this is just more proof of how much cats care. When you need them, they're there for you. Otherwise… they do whatever they want lol.
