'Have fun waiting for two hours': Crew member reveals that pilot held up flight after telling crew members to stop bugging him

Imagine your flight is hours late, and suddenly, someone announces the one person who is at fault for the delay. It would be awkward, and everyone waiting to board the flight would be livid. 

That's what happened to one pilot who thought he was better than another airline employee. Being a pilot can be a glamorized job, and clearly this dude thought that meant he could be impolite to everyone around him as a result. The OP, u/SolidFlow, shares that they worked to refuel the aircrafts and make sure the next passengers have food and entertainment. They sometimes encountered pilots, who were usually nice. The OP writes that they tended to be "nice and even tip," because the OP was doing essential work (including cleaning the lavatories---that's always worth a tip). 

It's worth thinking about stories like this next time you're rolling your eyes at another flight delay. There are so many moving parts before, during, and after each flight that passengers never get to see, since it all goes on behind the scenes. Someone is sweeping the aisles, cleaning up those crumbs on the fold-down tables, and making the airplane look fresh and clean so that when you finally do board, you can breathe a sigh of relief. 

After that, this person was stunned to find their neighbor left them a few notes demanding they take down their decorations---just one day after the actual holiday.
