When it comes to marriage, I personally think that it is imperative to first understand and explore your partner as much as possible before committing by saying 'I do'. After all, marriage is not just a union, it's a lifetime commitment to sharing a life together. In order to ensure you have a harmonious and long-lasting marriage, you must take the time to truly get to know your future partner on multiple levels. What are their priorities in life? What good and bad habits do they have? How do they manage their time, and how do their routines align with your own?
Values and beliefs are the foundation of a strong marriage. Having deep and open discussions about your core principles, religious or spiritual views, and life goals is essential. At the end of the day, like with anything else in this lifetime, we have to do our research and have a plan in mind. Oh, and open communication… can't forget that!
