A thing about TikTok that not everyone will admit to is that a lot of it is incredibly dull. When every wannabe influencer is vlogging their daily life, sharing anodyne opinions, or broadcasting what they eat in a day, they can all start to blend into one. While it doesn't stop some of them from getting millions of views, not everybody is a fan of this overly polished documentation.
This has been a recent topic of discussion on Twitter, where one influencer has attracted a lot of attention for a video that shows him taking a trip to Target. When one viewer jumped in to criticize him and others for "posting like female teenagers", it kickstarted a detailed discussion over the spectacle of day-in-the-life content. There is a lot of money in being boring for an audience, if you know how to do it in a way that the algorithm likes.
