Some therapists can be gentle, others can be savage, and most can be both within the same session. I would be lying if I told you I never had a bizarre exchange with my therapist. Once upon a time, I made a former therapist of mine cry totally by accident when I was having a fairly nonchalant conversation about family dynamics during the Holidays. Either I have zero self-awareness to realize what I shared was intense or something I said resonated a bit too much with him. Oh well, another therapist bites the dust, I suppose!

Let's just say that these remarks range from the sweetest thing someone could tell someone else in times of need to an absolutely savage "I take no prisoners" kind of comment.
