The best part of becoming a fan within a large fanbase is finding a welcoming community that shares your interest. It's about being able to connected with likeminded people and feeling a little less alone. Just chugging along life can often feel isolating, no matter who you are or what you are doing. So when you finally become part of a community, like through a fandom, it brings you a little peace. However, some of these fandoms have gotten out of hand. There are always the few crazed ones that have to be the "ultimate" fan.
