We're fast approaching a particularly magical time of the year: the time when it's dark outside when we start work, and dark again when we finish. It's like society really wants to punish every single seasonal depression sufferer. As if we don't have enough to be depressed about already. If we were to honestly survey the working population, the amount that dislike their jobs all year round would probably be pretty high.
It's not that work is a terrible thing. Many different fields provide necessary services. However, the way in which we work is something that tends to leave everybody but the richest in a state of burnout and/or apathy. It's a blessing that we have the world of memes to give a voice to all our job-based woes, because many don't have the energy or inclination for anything else. They're not the only form of relief that we have, though.
Start 'em young.
Honesty is the best policy.
Some wishes never come true.
Gotta keep it together.
Don't make me.
It's brutal out there.
Not this.
That'll fix it.
Thanks a lot.
I'm such a rascal.
Almost too convincing.
I'm outta here.
Don't you forget it.
What's good about it?
They don't need to know me.
