The OP works as a manager at a cafe, and a customer paid for a coffee with a £10 note. Then, he immediately told the OP that he'd actually paid with a £50 note! This is a fairly common occurrence if you work in retail, and I bet it works a lot of the time, especially with flustered newcomers.
