‘This VP was heartless’: Woman worker gets ‘quiet fired’ 2 days before wedding, forcing her to quit

Lots of people tread on eggshells around their boss, but are not always able to avoid the occasional crack that happens when you miss a spot. This particular story takes treading on eggshells to a whole different level, as in order not to upset this VP, you had to be… for lack of a better word, a man. OP was the 13th young woman to quit the job due to being 'quiet fired' after the VP learned she was getting married. How dare employees get married, am I right? How dare they live their own lives, and have family outside of… work? Ew, I am grossing myself out.

Okay so what happened goes as follows… the VP thought that every employee's loyalty should lie 100% with their workplace, and getting married, having kids, and being generally 'not single' was frowned upon. Of course, she could never say this directly to her employees, nor could she really say it out loud, but when you fire a bunch of women or make others quit by 'quiet firing' them, and they all happen to be in relationships, then you shouldn't be surprised at the reputation you rack up.
