You might sometimes wish that you could lock up your bullies, tyrants, and antagonists for good—or maybe even entomb them, "The Cask of Amontillado" style. While you might wish this, it will always remain as such, as it should. After all, it's always better to take the high road… and you don't want to become one of those people who entombs people in walls.
Occasionally, though, the chance will present itself for you to mildly to moderately inconvenience your tyrants for a single day of their life, and—should you get that chance—it would be a shame to pass it up.
This family had their chance, when their community had a jail-and-bail fundraising event—in which local community members are put into an actual prison cell at the request of a donator (for charity) until someone else donates enough to pay their "bail." It sounds bizarre in a modern context, but apparently, these used to be all the rage in the 90s.
