'No way José': Boss refuses to promote contracted employee of three years to full-time, fires him, then expects him to train replacements

If they say they can't promote you or give you a raise but then they keep hiring full-time employees, it's time to get out of that toxic work environment. Because whether or not you're ready to admit this to yourself, the truth is they are never going to promote you, especially if you keep bringing it up and they keep doing next to nothing about it. If they were going to promote you, they would have done it already. Instead, they seem to want to squeeze as much underpaid labor out of you as they possibly can.

This thread was posted to Reddit by u/BeastTitanVI, a contracted employee of over three years who not only was denied a promotion to full-time employment repeatedly but was completely blindsided by his boss when his recruiter reached out to inform OP that he was getting dismissed. you would think José, the boss, would have had the decency to let OP know himself, but nope! On top of that, José then requested that OP train the full-time replacements, a responsibility that wasn't in OP's contract whatsoever.
