U/Victoriaisde*d shared an incredible malicious compliance story about the time she was working in a food service position. As with basically every food service job, there are strict rules that you absolutely must comply with. If you're around food, you're supposed to wear your hair tied back and/or in a hair net, and some places even make you cover up your facial hair with a seperate net. It's annoying as an employee, but we all know how nasty it is to take a bite of your burger or a sip of your beverage just to notice a stray hair that's certainly not yours. It contaminates your whole meal — you're not going to be digging into the rest of the meal after that gross bite. 

This employee was taken aback when her boss noticed that her hair wasn't in a ponytail. The OP claims it was just too short to put up, and her boss told her to get it taken care of. Instead of searching for other options, OP decided to go with a surprisingly bold haircut. Commenters found the story funny, while also telling OP that she really cut off her nose to spite her face. At least OP is rocking the look!
