Listening to music hits differently at every stage of life. When you're a rebellious teen who never thinks they'll get old, then you're going to want music that reflects that confusing and wild time. As you age you might deal with more difficult things, and your taste in music will reflect that. So it only makes sense that once you've become a parent and started to follow a completely different path than your younger self, your taste in music will also change. But just because your priorities have changed and you're a parent, doesn't mean you have to listen to the music your parents listened to.
