'They got hit with more fines': Dude takes on his terrible next-door neighbor's in all-out neighborhood battle

There's an old saying that advises one to "keep their friends close, and their enemies closer." Without a doubt, whoever came up with this clearly had no idea what they were on about… because having your enemies close isn't much fun for anyone, and—certainly, having your enemies residing directly next door to you— permanently within arm's reach—is much too close. If you ever find yourself in this situation, you'll find yourself also wishing that they were even a little bit further away. 

Heck, even living with (or next door to) one's friends can be too close for comfort, with the double-edged sword of close proximity revealing what you once thought were simple personality quirks to be insufferable and intolerable behaviors. So, in that way, there has been many a friend who has been kept too close as well, so it's hard to imagine having one's enemies even closer than that. What's even left at that point? Inviting them into your own bed? While stirred emotions certainly can be evocative and confusing… and while this certainly could resolve outstanding hard feelings… it remains a fact that this doesn't seem like sound advice—and should not be attempted.

Still, when this dude found himself squaring up against his next-door neighbors, he came to find that this was an uncomfortably close place for his enemies to be. He did not attempt to bring them even closer to himself—but still managed to come out on top in the end.
