Star Trek is one of the oldest fandoms in the world. People have been making fanzines and fanfiction inspired by the series since the 60s and all different iterations of Star Trek have made incredible meme fodder since the invention of the internet meme. The two Patrick Stewart image macros are obviously the most famous of the Star Trek memes, but they're by no means the only ones.
I have to admit I am not a Trekkie personally, but I respect the grind of being a Trekkie. You have to watch so many different TV shows, movies, and animated series, and that is not easy to do.
