If you're over the age of 30, you probably remember the old Spider-man cartoon that was on TV on Saturday mornings and late at night (when you were supposed to be in bed). We remember this time fondly, watching cartoons in our pajamas while munching on some Eggo waffles for breakfast. This cartoon was everything when we were younger, it got us inspired to start to read all things nerdy, and started the formation of our love of all things nerdy.
But, then came the internet, and people with too much time on their hands and lots of creativity. They took this old cartoon and put their own spin on it, turning the ridiculously now outdated cartoon and making fun of how ridiculous it truly was. These hilarious Spider-man memes make us laugh so hard that web basically starts coming our of nose. Okay, maybe that's snot, but we can dream, right?
Going back and watching this cartoon is really like taking a trip down memory lane. We remember being glued to the TV while watching it, and now, all we can think about is how cringey it was! But cringey in a good way…kind of.
What we love in particular is how they made Spider-Man so mean in these memes. He's usually the one causing the trouble, which is so opposite to his character in any other depiction of him. That's why it makes it so funny!
