'Now she gets work with my mom': Woman gets her mother to work with her terrible ex-coworker when her parents refuse to listen

It has often been said that the enemy of my enemy is my friend—and I'm not exactly sure how that's supposed to all workout. Sure, they might not like the person you also don't like, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you guys are going to be all buddy-buddy, either. With your prickly and challenging personalities, it's more likely that the three of you will all be enemies together and carry on feuding perpetually like those three brothers after they offed their ginormous-jerk parents.

Speaking of parents—they're not always going to take your side—in fact, they might often not. But when it comes to matters and petty gossip, they have no stake in, like gossiping about coworkers, you might expect them to take your side. Instead, some parents might use it as an opportunity to push their own agenda and make you feel bad about something you didn't know it was possible to feel bad about. 

When this woman complained about her once-friend turned terrible coworker to her parents, instead of commiseration, she was met with a lecture about how she had "zero tolerance" for other people. What her parents thought was a teachable moment was actually going to become a teachable moment for them. As soon as she had found a new job, the woman organized for her mother to take her old one, pairing up her mother's "strong personality" with the coworker's lack of one.

The woman has since returned with an update, sharing how her new job is going as well as how her mother was faring with the coworker.
